About Genevieve Russell
Genevieve Russell is photographer, personal historian and multimedia producer who has been involved with photography and storytelling for over twenty years. Exploring and documenting the richness of life with boundless curoisity and a camera is her greatest joy.
She founded StoryPortrait Media in 2007 to help individuals, families, and communities preserve important personal and cultural stories by creating video, web, multimedia, and print documentaries.
Genevieve has received grants from the New Mexico Humanities Council and the City of Albuquerque, for her collaborative work on photographic exhibits, multimedia presentations, and web sites for the Jazz of Enchantment, www.newmexicojazz.org and Los Reyes de Albuquerque, www.losreyesstory.org, projects. Her clients include the Heart Gallery of New Mexico, the New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department, Design with Nature, Good Radio Shows and Peace Talks Radio, Inc., the Santa Fe Photo Workshops, Jane Bernard Wedding Photography, and numerous individuals and families.
Genevieve is a patient and inspiring instructor. She has been teaching at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops for eight years, and has also taught at the College of Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Community College.
